the UK
The two-hour M.O.W. takes viewers through the bizarre and gruesome story of Evelyn Dick, Hamiltons infamous sex kitten who was charged with her husbands brutal "Torso Murder" in 1946 in one of the most sensational cases in Canadian history. A newly-produced companion documentary, "THE NOTORIOUS MRS. DICK," will follow the movie, the 60-minute documentary chronicles, among other things, the hunt for Evelyn Dick since her release from Kingstons Prison for Women in 1958. With a new identity and the comfort of sealed government files, Evelyn Dicks whereabouts has been one of the countrys greatest mysteries ever since. For more than 40 years, rumours of Evelyn sightings have abounded but never proven. Now, after criss-crossing the country, conducting dozens of interviews, poring over thousands of pages of transcripts, reports and documents, the answer may be finally revealed. Or will it. Has Evelyn Dick eluded the most expansive hunt ever for her in the last five decades? Or, has the mystery been finally solved? Either way, the result is a spine- tingling and lively account featuring never before published materials on the most notorious woman to call Hamilton home. One question remains -- How could you, Mrs. Dick?
